The initial silence is followed by spiritual instruction on the singular nature of the sole-existent Self, described at satyam-jnanam-anantam (the True, the Knowledge, the Infinite) and as sat-cit-ananda (Being-Consciousness-Bliss). Dialogues about the inward-turned and outward turned mind, Self-inquiry, just how unreal the unreal is, freedom from imagination, the peace of the Self, satsang, being with a sage, freedom from the false notion of being the performer of action, bodilessness, surrender, detachment from the fruits of action, and other topics. Concludes with a recitation in Sanskrit and English of verses from chapter 4 of the Bhagavad Gita.
